What if I want to be near family camp, but I don't feel like camping?

The town of Okotoks features all amenities and has a Best Western hotel as well as a few other local hotels/motels. Okotoks would keep you close to the family camp, and can serve as a great “home base” as you explore the rest of the area. Alternately, you could also head towards the mountains and stay in Canmore or Banff, but we would suggest booking early, as those are popular tourist areas. Airbnb/Vrbo also have properties in the surrounding area.

Cornel Rylaarsdam Memorial Fund

Some families would like to send their cadet or counselor to an international camporee, but they don’t have the financial resources. The CRMF is available to help pay part or all of the registration fees for individuals who need help. The Steering Committee of the International Camporee reviews requests.
